By using BoursePad, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

We collect personal information such as name, contact information, date of birth, educational background, financial information for scholarship eligibility, and family status where needed to help sponsors review scholarship requests.

We may also collect non-personal information such as device information, operating system, usage data, app interactions, and time spent in the app.

BoursePad provides a platform where students can submit scholarship requests and sponsors can create scholarship posts. We use safeguards such as profile verification and admin review before applications are approved and displayed, but BoursePad is not directly affiliated with every individual user. Users should interact cautiously and avoid sharing sensitive personally identifiable information beyond what is required by the platform.

BoursePad may post public scholarships from external websites to provide students with additional opportunities. These listings do not mean BoursePad is affiliated with, or endorses, the organizations or websites offering them. Users engage with external opportunities at their own discretion.

  • Personal information: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, educational background, financial information, and family status.
  • Non-personal information: device type, operating system, usage data, app interactions, and performance signals.
  • Scholarship request information: details students submit for private scholarship requests and details sponsors submit when creating scholarship posts.
  • Public scholarship information: external scholarship listings shared for student convenience.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from users when they register an account, submit scholarship applications, create scholarship requests, or interact with app features.

We may also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when users access our app or website for the purpose of improving performance and marketing.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to verify user identity, process scholarship applications, communicate with users about application status or relevant matters, and provide personalized scholarship recommendations and educational resources.

We use non-personal information to improve app functionality, improve user experience, support marketing campaigns, analyze trends, and understand user behavior so we can enhance our services.

We do not sell, trade, or rent users' personal information to third parties. However, we may share personal information where needed to operate the platform and support scholarship processing.

5. How We Store Information and for How Long

User information is securely stored on our servers and/or cloud-based platforms with appropriate safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated information. After deletion, we may keep certain information for financial, legal, regulatory, and business purposes. For these reasons, we may retain information for a maximum of five years after the end of your relationship with us.

You have the right to update or correct personal information we hold about you if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We also rely on you to tell us when your information changes. Keeping your information accurate and up to date allows us to continue offering high-quality service.

7. De-identification and Analytics

Our app is not intended for use directly by children under the age of 13 without the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us immediately.

9. Fraudulent Information and Account Suspension

At BoursePad, we uphold the integrity of our platform and expect all users to provide accurate, truthful information. If a customer knowingly provides false or misleading information during the application process, their account will be suspended immediately pending investigation.

  • Examples include false personal details such as name or date of birth.
  • Examples include use of a third-party account number.
  • Examples include fraudulent documents or misleading statements related to eligibility criteria.
  • The suspension will remain in effect until the investigation is complete.

10. Profile Updates

Once a profile is verified, changes to first name, last name, and date of birth can only be made by contacting BoursePad support. This helps preserve data consistency and accuracy.

11. Misuse of Personal Details

Misusing personal information, such as using someone else's identity or financial data, will result in an immediate ban pending investigation.

  • Using another person's details to submit an application without their consent.
  • Agents submitting applications for individuals without authorization or consent.
  • If a verified agent violates this rule, their account will also be banned pending investigation.
  • Bans will remain in effect until the investigation is complete.

12. Appeal Process

Customers who have been suspended or banned have the right to appeal the decision by submitting a written request to BoursePad, clearly stating their case and providing any supporting evidence.

Upon receipt, BoursePad will conduct a thorough investigation and notify the customer of the outcome. If the appeal is justified, the suspension or ban will be lifted. If the decision is upheld, the suspension or ban will remain in effect.

13. Reinstatement

If an appeal is successful, the customer's account will be reinstated with full access to the platform and services.

14. Repeated Violations

Users found guilty of repeated offenses will face permanent banning from the platform.

15. Compliance

All customers must adhere to this policy as part of BoursePad's Terms of Service and comply with applicable laws. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or banning.

16. Privacy Concerns

If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints about this policy or our privacy practices, let us know right away. In most cases, a question, concern, or complaint can be resolved by talking to us about it.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage users to review this policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of our app signifies acceptance of any updates or modifications to this policy.
